looking normal so far (the debug info is just showing which command is executed). And what happens then?
You could also execute it manually in a windows-commandline (only the second part: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre-1.8\bin\java" -Xms256m -Xmx4024m -Dsun.java2d.uiScale=1.0 "-Djava.library.path=C:\Program Files\JWildfire 8\lib\x64" -cp "C:\Program Files\JWildfire 8\lib\j-wildfire.jar" org.jwildfire.swing.JWildfire ).
Maybe this would give a error message if it fails

guess what? I left those 2 'blank' instances open for a while, and now 15 minutes later they have appeared loaded!!!! Could it be that it is just taking much longer to load now? Could be, I have used the Steam version for the first time, maybe that is why. I checked out Task Manager, and it shows them loaded. Attached is a screenshot. I guess this is solved, though I am still wondering why loading takes so long. I will revisit my preferences and give JWF more RAM to work with.

I have no idea why it should take such long. Normally, it is a matter of seconds, for example 8 seconds on my outdated computer

I think I found the problem. Windows Security was blocking it from launching. I was able to add it to allowed programs and it worked! Sorry for all the
