@pranay90openid There should not be any differences when building for x64. Make sure you have a 64bit version of openssl available when loading the dll and your application actually uses it.
You should be able to see messages about which dlls get loaded in the messages window of msvc.

Try to build a minimal dll which uses openssl and make sure you can load that

Is it a pre-requisite to have OpenSSL installed and registered with Windows?

To be honest, I never tested it on windows, but it should boil down to linker settings.
You dont need to register anything with windows as long as you configure MSVC correctly, so it finds the dlls during runtime.
