Changing the ghost position to fixed, shows all the image but it then needs to be centered.
However it's still below the white div.

Still trying to work out the z-index issue, but what I can see is that your #content has been set to hide overflows, and that your <header> element has a higher z-index (of 20) and the content (10). That is the issue.
With regards to the white overlay issue, I will be rewriting the plugin a little to take care of that.
Edit: Plugin (now v1.2.2) has been rewritten to position the overlay in a better position within the DOM tree. Issue should be fixed now.
