I have put up a PR for the fix as you suggested, along with some unit tests. (I did have to coerce the value to nullable though).

In the meanwhile, you have already noted the workaround, which is to simply specify the max multiplicity, e.g. MaxMultiplicity = 500 (which is the maximum the parser allows)
