Safari 8: Requires page reload for tabs opened in background about vimari HOT 13 CLOSED

can confirm that, i'm using Safari Version 8.0 (10600.1.25),
the same story for scrolling with ctrl+k/ctrl+j

I'm on OS 10.10, Safari 8.0 (10600.1.25), and can't reproduce the issue. The only other extension I have enabled is AdBlock 2.12.1.

Just wanted to say that, though I can't reproduce this bug exactly as exposed, plugin sometimes loses focus and doesn't respond to keys. This has happened to me since the beginning, I would say.
I haven't discovered a pattern yet, but I think it happens mainly when I change to other application and come back to browser. Solution is reloading, as for this bug, too.

bismark/elmart - any errors getting thrown when you notice the plugin losing focus?

Whenever I've lost focus in a new or background tab, I had an empty excluded URLs list -
TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'settings.excludedUrls.split')

Haven't had the time to look into it more; interesting that it only fails occasionally. Currently working around it by adding a bogus domain to the excluded URLs list.

I can't get vimari working at all, I am on Safari Version 8.0 (10600.1.25) on Yosemite as well...

oh it is. Only other extension I have is AdBlock but while that is enabled, vicar still not functioning.

Unfortunately I dont have access to a Yosemite device so cant debug this issue. Hoping someone can provide a solution :)

I am having the same problem, BUT it only happens when I open another local html page on a new tab of the same Safari window. That is:

Status: you have couple tabs opened and vimari is functioning fine.
Action: open another tab file:///Users/name/Desktop/page.html in a new tab.
Expected: vimari is functional in all current tabs.
Actual: vimari does not function in any of all the current tabs (unless refreshed).

However, as long as I don't open any local html page on the same window, vimari is functioning perfectly 👍

hope this will help fix the bug, unfortunately I am not sure how to do so.

I am running Safari 8.0.3 (10600.3.18) on Yosemite 10.10.2.
