Cannot purge or flush files that are on windows filesystem. about stash HOT 4 CLOSED

The regex I tested:

/^(?:\/|\\|\w\:\\).*$/

Works for:

1. /
2. \
3. C:
   But not for
4. C:/

There needs to be some fixing.

I added an extra optional. This now tracks C:/ as well.

^(?:\/|\\|\w\:\\|\w\:\/).*$

We can use this regex as a replacement code for determining if it's an absolute path.

However due to PHP's weird escaping issues. The correct regex that works in PHP:

^(?:\/|\\\\|\w:\\\\|\w:\/).*$

Furthermore, the second part of the conditional:

substr($file, 1, 2) !== ':\\'

Could not possibly work. Because substr would always only return 2 characters. But you're testing for 3 characters.

I don't know how to fix this, as I'm not sure what your intention is here.
