Clicky as in clicky sound?
I recently did something similar and the thing I missed was variable speed
which made me go back to Filestream (DShow9).

Thanks for reminding me that sometimes the old stuff does things just fine! I'm using waveplayer, and its much better :)

yes, waveplayer should be a good option. whenever you hit a problem like this, ask yourself. is there a VST plugin which can do this for me? i bet there are awesome file scrubbing tools out there, its just some work to search for it.
