FYI: tinypng just uses a command line tool called pngquant
which you can incorporate into your build: http://pngquant.org/
Building that into Flump is likely to be more trouble than it's worth. Maybe Flump should just point it out in the documentation.

Agree with @samskivert. I think we want to avoid putting effort into features that are already accomplished by other tools that can be easily integrated into a game's art pipeline/build system.
I'll make a note about png optimization tools in the docs.
