Crop Image in IE7 crashed about jcrop HOT 7 OPEN

I guess this is to do with Jcrop using jQuery's jQuery.Browser() function which has been removed in the latest (1.9) version of jQuery.

Have you tried using the jQuery 1.9 migration plugin?

Though I am sure Jcrop will be compatible with jQuery 1.9 eventually!

I had the same issue, but I found that IE crashes only in compatibility view from Windows 7.
I've tried in a Windows XP pc with IE 7 and it works.

I am trying to test a JCrop application, emulating IE7 from IE10, on Windows 7. Crashes every time with a mshtml.dll error. But don't take my word for it - try it on your own 'Hello World' demo page, i.e.

Confirmed this is still an issue even with jQuery 1.11.3. IE10 (in IE7 mode) crashes. Even more interesting is that IE9 (in IE7 mode and IE11 (in IE7 mode) do not crash. It is just IE10.

I've added pull request #185 with a fix that worked for me, just in case anyone else is still having this issue :)
