Sounds like I have a lot of work to do this coming week ;) Luckily I'm off
from my normal job next week.

I really like all the font ideas and the line break issue has been bugging
me for a while as well.

First: I love how there is a defined set of font sizes, and no free input.

Because that’s what the scaling control is for. The problem is that the
font size is relative to the bounding box, not absolute to the slide.

Similarly, sometimes there is an inadvertent line break, even when there
are only 3 words. Seems like a glitch.

The bounding box should play no role for limiting the width of the text,
breaks should need to be set manually. Also, scaling the box should change
the font size accordingly (change it in the font size box to the value) –
that way, it is possible to set custom font sizes. When you have a text box
with custom font size, that extra font size should be displayed in the text
size dropdown also. And a bit related: In the font size dropdown, the sizes
used in this presentation should be highlighted a bit for reference.

Lots of ideas, what do you think?

Actually, controlling font sizes with the scale control will become problematic if we allow multiple font sizes within one text box...

Ah, true. I’d say also for the sake of focus, the formatting should be limited to bolding, italic, alignment etc, but not allow different fonts and sizes. If you use a different font or size, it’s likely to be another point anyway. Bolding on the other hand is very common to be just used on single words.

Created GH-64 for the "sizes used in this presentation should be highlighted a bit for reference" piece.
