There already is - updater.exe can handle files that needs to be replaced when cold. It should revert to doing that automatically, but just to be safe you can specify hot-swap to false. See the sample feed.

Updater loads the updater dll. I did a cold update and changed the version
number to test if the nappupdate dll had been updated and was included in
the feed. It failed because it couldn't write to that file.
