Bad plot with libncursesw5-dev installed about nvtop HOT 4 CLOSED

Hi,
TERM=xterm works fine on my system with the drawing characters.

I wonder why cmake chooses the library in /home/... instead of the one installed by dpkg which should be located somewhere in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/.
Other than that all seems fine. (compiler_has-Whsa is only a compiler warning for debug).

Does NCURSES_NO_UTF8_ACS=1 nvtop change anything?

The cause may lie in a non UTF8 locale.
Is your LANG locale set to something like en_US.UTF-8 (check with locale command).

If you are using putty, the TERM variable should be putty (see putty specific at the bottom of the README)

Exporting the variable export NCURSES_NO_UTF8_ACS=1 in your shell initialization file (e.g., ~/.bashrc) makes it so you do not have to write it at each nvtop invocation.

Bingo! My apologies for not identifying that earlier. (I saw it and I'm using Putty, but it didn't click.) Putty should be not lying in the first place, but I've fixed it now. Thank you for your help.
