Since --my_arg and --my-arg can map to different variables in argparse, they should not be considered equivalent in Tap either. Consider the example below:

from argparse import ArgumentParser

parser = ArgumentParser()
parser.add_argument('--my_arg', dest='jesse', type=str, default='hi')
parser.add_argument('--my-arg', dest='kyle', type=str, default='bye')
args = parser.parse_args()
print(args.jesse)  # 'hi'
print(args.kyle)  # 'bye'

from typed-argument-parser.
