The first case is because instead of having a separate effect for each part of the template we have one single template that update every text node (is much more performant like this).
In the second case there are actually two reads in the template...the value attribute of the input to which is bound and template text node.

As explained both these cases work as expected. In general you should write your getters so that they are idempotent, i.e. free of side effects + always the same outcome.
