Hey Shad,

I had a quick think about it.

I believe one possible approach might be to import Documents, and have an after import hook that creates the related revision(s) as well. Revisions are the guids that should then be uploaded on the upload directory.

I would proceed with your suggested approach of importing the records first, and then upload the data separately.

Does that work?
Does it need any changes to the library to support document revisions or can it all be done through the current hooks?
The only part I am not so sure about is how to get the document revision id(s) that have been created/updated on the hook, as a return value from the api. Maybe that's where it could help to have some changes implemented, if it is currently not possible.

Let me know your thoughts as well

Thanks
