The decoder.flush() call simply sends a null packet to the FFmpeg decoder. FFmpeg treats this as an EOF marker and flushes out any previously decoded frames. It does not free resources - if you send any further packets (even another null packet) you will just get an EOF error. The GC cleans up the decoder resources when the decoder object goes out of scope.
