Foldup.js lets you create a "fold up" effect for text on your website. As users resize their browsers, the text folds up in a 3D effect.
To see it in action and as an example, check out: http://www.strangenative.com/foldup
Add jQuery and Lettering.js to your page. (Foldup will work with jQuery 1.4.2 or later.) Then add Foldup to your page by linking to jquery.foldup.js
.
Basically, you need to add these lines to your web page:
<!-- Tries to load jQuery from Google's CDN; if it fails, uses a local copy -->
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script>!window.jQuery && document.write('<script src="js/jquery.js"><\/script>')</script>
<!-- Load Lettering.js -->
<script src="js/lettering/jquery.lettering.js"></script>
<!-- Finally, loads Foldup -->
<script src="js/jquery.foldup.js"></script>
Apply the foldup effect to an element on your page by calling the $.foldup()
function:
<p class="foldup">The what must always come before the how.</p>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
$(".foldup").foldup();
});
</script>
Foldup.js was created by Russ Maschmeyer and was turned into a true JQuery plugin by David Demaree
