Hi, thanks for reporting this. do you have a reproduction repo you can share? If not, can you please create one via storybook.new? We prioritize bug reports that have reproduction. Thank you! 🙏

Our repo is way to huge to "clean up" to be a reproduction one, and to create a new one is also somewhat difficult, because it's a simple project, not using nx and storybook composition.
It started breaking after the version "@storybook/nextjs": "8.0.8", so 8.0.8 still works (and that is what we have now), but newer versions are breaking.
What is strange though, that the bug report is about next.js build is breaking because of the update, not just the storybook build.
Any idea where to look? It's quite possible the issue is on our end. 🤔
