Can't reference github token in another file in .gitconfig about ghi HOT 7 CLOSED

I haven't had time to update this for the latest API (v3), so something funny might be going on with v2. I'll check it out soon.

So if you're specifying v2 it sounds like this is a bug in github itself then?

It's possible. I've hit bugs on their end before. I'll try to take a look tonight. Sorry for the delay. ghi hasn't been on my radar lately.

I'm going to push some changes and see if that fixes anything. I can't get it
to blow up where it was blowing up for you, though.

I tracked down the cause:

[github]
    user = technomancy
    token = !cat ~/.github.token

If I replace this with the literal token it works fine, but I'd rather not do that as I've accidentally checked in my token in the past.
