You are correct that there is no way to disable that feature. But it shouldn't be a problem normally because it should only ever have effect if you are moving windows. So it shouldn't focus a window unless you're pressing Alt (or your chosen key) and at the same time moving a window.

It might be that AltDrag got into a weird state, which has happened to me but it is very rare. If this is the reason, hitting the Esc key should make AltDrag stop doing whatever it is doing.

One temporary workaround is to disable AltDrag by clicking the tray icon when working with these programs. I am not sure if the blacklist will prevent this bug, but you can try.

Do you have any other software that might affect this behavior?

If none of the above works, I can send you a custom version with the Ctrl to focus behavior disabled, and we'll see if that version doesn't have this bug.

yes I have almost everywhere this behavior and its not only affecting me when CTRL is being pressed this happens to all keys. When I disable AltDrag then I can leave my mouse untouched and do many things via keyboard. But when I enable AltDrag, well then the window below the mouse cursor receives focus when ever I type anything on my keyboard. Immune to this issue are only apps which run maximized because they are properly the only window where my mouse cursor can be.

I am Mac user and have to use a corporate Windows machine here at our company. Zooom/2 is the app I love on my Mac and I found AltDrag as an alternative for Windows. But right now its a bit odd. I wish it would be different.

How can I help to figure out if this is a AltDrag problem or something with my corporate machine?

It sounds like you accidentally activated FocusOnTyping. Look in the ini file.

Hi, that was truly set to 1. I have asked a colleague for about his config
because he showed me this app and I asked how to disable CTRL autofocus.
Copy&Paste is an evil terrorist.
But autofocus on pressing CTRL is still a thing. ALT-TAB to switch window
and then CTRL-V does not work for me unless I move the mouse also above the
window what I've activated via ALT-TAB.
