Hmm you are probably in some sort of text editor like vi. Try :q and see if that works?

@kqdtran That's a possibility, but there could be a few others, as well, such as a text-based web browser.

Try hitting just q if :q does not work. Also try Ctrl-c to kill the IPython Notebook process. You'll need to start it again after killing it.

To load example.ipynb you should connect to the virtualbox instance using your laptop's web browser using the previous method we discussed in class.

NOTE: I updated the title of this item so it is more descriptive since I can't tell from the title what this issue is about if it just has the title of "Bug".

Hi John,

Log files could be very helpful in your case. Could you please try
"ipython notebook --no-browser --ip=0.0.0.0 2>&1 | tee bug.log" and post the log file here so people can have better understanding of what happened.

@johnrisko Did you resolve this problem or is it still an issue? If you're still having trouble then try providing a screenshot. Also, I will be available for office hours tomorrow (Sunday) if you want to look at it together.

I exited using typing q, but now I just see a blank screen. I'm going to
keep working on it. I'm in LA for business purposes but I think my group
scheduled office hours tomorrow and I can google hangout into the meeting.
In the meanwhile, I'll keep working to see the problem.

That would be great if you can Google Hangout into the meeting since you can screenshare and show us what's going on.
