Hi,
sorry for being so late to answer. Are you still having that issue?
When you run "mvn package", JBoss is not used at all (because "package" only runs the Unit tests, it doesn't start up your server). So your issue could be that you're trying to connect to a datasource that won't be created until JBoss starts.
