The beauty of mPDF and the dw2pdf plugin is that it does not require any 3rd party software which is often hard to install on cheap webspace.
If you want to go the Apache FOP route, please fork to a different plugin.

Yes, okay, good point about the ease of deployment! :-) I'll start a new plugin, called xslfo. I've looked around to see if anyone's doing anything the same, but haven't found anything.
