According to Splunk Forwarders configuration it should be comma-separated yes: http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/6.1.3/Forwarding/Configureforwarderswithoutputs.confd - so something is bugging here.

Chef-client version 12.8.1 here.

@mikkoc did you find any solution?

@mikkoc @iiro @rinoto If any one of you want to open a PR with a fix to include the commas here we'd gladly merge it.

The template has been changed and now expects a comma separated attribute. Please check to see if this works for you. If it doesn't please reopen.
