this surely can be implemented,

on the Java side it would be necessary to add a new object like Polygon, wrapping a CoordinateLine and a fill color CoordinateLine object and implicitly connect the last entry to the first.

On the JavaScript side this need to be mapped to an OpenLayers polygon, instead of the LineString.

should be no major issue to implement - biggest problem is the time to do that
