Windows Lumia 521- Yodel is not compatible with current software about yodel HOT 4 CLOSED

Do you have Windows Phone 8.1?

I have windowa 8.0.10517.150. I have gone to my update section in my
settings and tried to update, but it tells me it is up to date and that
there are not any available updates. I have a t-mobile Lumia 521, and I
read that the Cyan update is not yet available for it in the US. Is it
possible that this is the problem?

Yes, you need 8.1 to use Yodel. It's a software limitation, unfortunately; I wrote the app using WinJS, which doesn't support any OS version before 8.1.

In the meantime, you can get the 8.1 developer preview if you wish. I figured this wouldn't be an issue since most people have the 8.1 DP installed already.
