Comment from alejandrorecarey1 on Trello:

Very useful for pointing to a custom config directory. For example, for security, I created a daemon user in linux to run sonarr as, but as daemon users do not have home directories, sonarr would not start. I had to end up creating the /home/nzbdrone directory, so that /home/nzbdrone/.config could be created.

Comment from keivanbeigi on Trello:

would they be temporary or the value would be written to config.xml?

Comment from markus101 on Trello:

Not sure, both cases seem valid, I forget the actual use case here, effort for a few users that need it once or twice it seems.

Agreed, being able to define a custom config location would be ideal, if you have all the other settings inside this file (including port etc) then the config param may be the only param needed.

@medoix you can use /data= followed by a path to specify a new config folder location (which will store the config file, the databases, logs and anything else Sonarr needs to store on disk).

As for other switches we don't plan on supporting setting other settings from the command line at this time.
