Chat doesn't work in demo example, works only in google chrome (using websocket) about socket.io HOT 3 CLOSED

I understood that upgrade header and others are normal, nevertheless flash socket is not working, on server:

Upgrade node. I found and fixed a bug in the way they were parsing the headers that was provoked by having web-socket-js send a Cookie: header when there was no cookie set (didn't matter the header, the issue was that the header value was empty). It's been fixed in master, but unless there is a tag newer than v0.1.100, then you'll have to use master instead. The issue you are describing is most likely fixed by http://github.com/ry/node/commit/70a8fb3763c92337bbc6a6138dd0c320134b847c
