The instructions on the screen tell you to press back to resume last activity -
the ability to lock the back key exists but not the home key. However, most
user like
having the option to resume the last screen because the app will create this
screen
every time standby happens. Back will function as if user opened a new screen
from
notification tray and wished to return to their last screen in the stack. If
this
option did not exist the only way to get out would be to use the home key,
making the
process of navigating back to what they were last doing more obtuse.

In other words, the issue is deemed invalid because it is a design choice so
that on
the screen we do not have to waste space to include a button the kills the
window. We
feel the back button is fine for this function. We wish the stock lockscreen
gave you
the option to disable the sliders and add widgets, utilizing the back key as
the unlock
key.
