Planned improvements for the QSO logger include a better file format with audio compression. A probable choice for the audio compression is Speex since SvxLink already use that compression algorithm.

Another planned improvement is to cut audio files after a certain time or when the file have reached a certain size. Old files may be cleaned out either by SvxLink itself or by using the "find" utility.
