simplejson won't let me override output for NaNs about simplejson HOT 5 CLOSED

I haven't received a lot of other requests for this, so going to punt.

It would be great, if there was a way to "override" or some "pre_process" hook to execute, before default is fired. Currently there is no way this can be acheieved. and pre processing the data before feeding it to simple json, makes it a 2 x Loop.

The overhead of that proposal seems extreme, and this closed issue is not the place to discuss it.

Where would the place be to talk about this?

Since this is a fairly odd issue where the spec is the problem and each programmer / team is going to implement it differently (for example, we're using "NaN"), I have to agree with meson10 about a hook.

If you have a proposal for how it should be done that doesn't change the performance of existing code and some solid use cases for why it should be done differently, you can create a new issue.
