On windows if the adaptor name is in Chinese, result.interface failed to parse unicode adaptor name correctly. about default-gateway HOT 4 CLOSED

Does not look like there is an easy fix. In my tests I only get a bunch of question marks:

$ wmic path Win32_NetworkAdapter get Index,NetConnectionID /format:table | grep 12 | hexdump -C | head -1
00000000  31 32 20 20 20 20 20 3f  3f 3f 3f 20 20 20 20 20  |12     ????     |

Either find out how to get Unicode out of wmic or find a different way to map a adapter index to a name.
