This also engages issue #33 . This enhancement probably best activated in the Translate or Community phase, before the Accuracy check so that the lyrics of the song can be checked by the Consultant.

I also view it as being related to issue #48 - edit picture on every slide

As per discussion with @Robin-rempel: put extra slide at the end of the story in every phase for the local hymn/song.
Have some sort of default image and audio to hint what the user should(/can) do with the slide.

The song slide could be added in one of several locations for the output video:

  • right after the last story slide but before the template copyright slide (probably the best place!)

  • right after the template copyright slide but before the local copyright slide (could be ok)

  • at the very end after the story, after the template copyright slide, after the local copyright slide (perhaps least desirable)

Here is a UI mock-up draftv for a song slide with UX ideas.

Have the app generate a song slide. If the end-users record a song, this is where they do it.
It would initially show up in the TRANSLATE PHASE, after the last slide (and before the zero title slide). It can also appear in the Community and Accuracy Check phases. If, no song is recorded before the Consultant approval, then this slide does not show up in the Voice Studio phase. If a song has been recorded, this slide will also appear in the Voice Studio phase where the users can re-record it if they want to.

Do we need a message/question box? If the YES is tapped, the message goes away and the song slide becomes active. Maybe we don’t need a NO answer.

In FINALIZE PHASE, if a song has been recorded, then under Options there will be a toggle tickbox added to the list to “append the song to the story”. If a song has not been recorded, the song option will be greyed out. #107

As of apk 2.3.28, this enhancement has been implemented and any bugs associated with it have been resolved. It can be closed.
