I have Obsidian git no system to restore backups, I don't wanna have to go through the effort of doing so just because I briefly mistyped in a text box once.

perhaps there should be a checkbox that turns green when you edit that you click when you finished writing the folder name, which saves it, instead of doing so automatically, and an x that turns red which you can click to cancel the rename.

No other settings in Obsidian behave this way, it would be weird if Templater did this.

I have similar feelings about undo/redo, but at least it's not a UI change, definitely a lot more open to that. I think this should be considered, see how hard it is to build.

In the meantime, I highly recommend having backups. I doubt every plugin you use will implement this feature, backups is a great global way to ensure you can undo, especially if you have version control as well.
