The solution you proposed should allow for simple launching of an scrcpy instance. But if you want to add additional flags like changing bitrate, changing rendering driver, etc, you will have to change your .desktop file. It may also cause some issue of there are multiple devices connect over ADB.

Regarding the issue stated, not able to choose path, its asking for the folder where scrcpy is located, which is /usr/bin. So can you try selecting the bin folder (the same folder that is selected in the first image) and press ok.

See if that works...

Thanks @kphanipavan my bad, I think it must be located to /usr/bin/scrcpy, but just only /usr/bin and it works like a charm now. Btw the UI of scrcpy control overlapping on my android studio, isn't it? I have attached screenshot below.

Glad that was helpful...

Regarding the clipping, you are given a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom (right above the start and stop buttons). You can either use that to scroll or use shift+scroll to use the overlapped button.

If you don't want to use scroll bar and want the UI to not be overlapped, you can right click on the scrcpy tab and select window mode in the view mode to open the plugin as a window...
