I've figured it out, futureFactory
wasn't returning the Connection
future to be polled, instead it just handshakes and drops the connection.
refactoring to:
fn futureFactory(
io: AcceptAsync<TcpStream>,
http: Arc<Http<Chunk>>,
s: Arc<ArcRouter>,
) -> impl Future<Item = (), Error = ()> {
io.then(move |socket| {
match socket {
Ok(socket) => {
println!("Serving Connection!");
http.serve_connection(socket, s.clone())
},
Err(err) => {
panic!("Failed to handshake with client aborting! {}", err)
}
}
})
.map(|_| ())
.map_err(|err| println!("[arc-reactor][error]: {:?}", err))
}
solves this issue, this was a misunderstanding on my part how futures worked, i do still need to figure out a way to get rid of the panic on handshake error. but that's my problem to think about.
