A temporary solution for this may be to remove it from the crate, and compile your public docs manually with rustdoc.
Running cargo doc --verbose
should let you see the appropriate command, which you can then copy and amend with --html-before-content .a/wrapper/for/github/png/but.html
.
This will also prevent the layout from changing when you use your docs to look at the rust-encoding
crate (although the banner will still point to this repo).

Having the banner collapse with the description is surprising, but it’s not really a problem IMO. I did use --html-before-content
at some point, but the banner (on either side) doesn’t work so well in rustdoc’s current layout so I went back to having it only on the "main" page.
Also, having the rust-url "fork me" banner on rust-encoding docs doesn’t make much sense. I’m not so sure I want to have rust-encoding docs under http://servo.github.io/rust-url/ at all, but oh well.
Regarding --html-before-content
with cargo doc
, see rust-lang/cargo#331.

Closing. The issue as described still exists, but I don’t know a good way to fix it. That banner is not very important anyway.
