Is there a right way to specify a version of Rust that works with this package?
Until Rust hits version 1.0, it will keep making backward-incompatible changes. The correct is to update libraries, like #57 did for this specific change. That PR was merged a couple days ago, I just forgot to make a crate.io release. Thatβs done now (0.2.3).

Simon, thanks for the response and for fixing the compatibility issues. The new version builds just fine, but now my problem lies upstream in hyper! I'll keep digging and talk to those folks if I can't get it taken care of.
