Hello!

I'm not author, but I check this and all icons (in example site) work normal: http://d.pr/i/BFVP

Chrome 29.0.1547.62

Im familiar with this issue. I believe it can be fixed by going to "settings->tools->encoding->auto-detect (enable)"

I think it has to do with use of multibyte UTF8 characters for some of the extended icon set. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix would be a huge help, but i've been banging my head against the wall.

Also works fine with my 29.0.1547.66 m. @badsha-eee does it work in incognito tab? If it works, it may be related to your extensions.

For anyone still not seeing them, can you see characters on this page?

Edit- it looks like it might be an issue with specifically 1547.66m

Something happened in 29.0.1547.66 m with extended utf8 characters and its driving me nuts. Not appearing on any site.

Tried in Chrome, Firefox (newest versions), and IE

In FF and IE only the book icon is broken.
Chrome displays every third.

Firefox
unbenannt

and Chrome

unbenannt2

IE 10
unbenannt3

EDIT:
@jlukic

No, can't see all of them.

This is unfortunate, I think i'll have to re-export the icon set to use the private use UTF-8 area that FontAwesome, and some other icon sets seem to use to avoid these issues.

I'm currently also working on a direct port of font awesome to semantic style class names which should give a greater variety of icons, but brings up the dilemma of how to include multiple definitions for a single element type (icon), since you'd only need one of the two sets if both icon sets are available..which ties into the need for build tools or some sort of package manager. Oh my!

jlukic avatar jlukic commented on May 13, 2024

I've redone the icon set to use a custom port of font awesome, which means more icons and no issues with display.

I've included the previous font also as a new 'basic' font option, which is half the size.

Some basic icon do not work.
Chrome 32 (Win 8.1)
icon

In Opera 18, Firefox 26 and IE11 is OK.
Also on my Andoid 4.4.2 in Chrome 32 is OK.

EDIT:
I see it's not semantic-ui problem, on github I missing some icons too.

Fubinator avatar Fubinator commented on May 13, 2024

Same problem here :/ it seems there are missing some classes. For example the "shop" icon class is not there.
