Highlighting with PrismJS does not work in Firefox. about hugo-theme-gruvbox HOT 6 CLOSED

Have you tweaked your FF at all? I have the same issue with my FF, but I tweaked it using Arkenfox user.js.

However, when I create a new FF profile, it works:

Re-installing FF doesn't purge profile data by default. Please run firefox -p (or navigate to about:profiles) and create a new profile:

Then test with the new blank profile and report back.

I created a new profile and it did not work the first time I accessed it, but when I reloaded it, it worked.
I tried running Firefox in safe mode with the normal profile, but that still did not work.
I don't know what is happening.

Does safe-mode enable something like privacy.resistFingerprinting in about:config? If I enable that setting in my blank profile, code highlighting for the theme breaks, but the prism.js demos still work fine.

I suspect that one of the Prism plugins breaks when running FF in safe-mode. Maybe try disabling some of the plugins the theme uses inside config/_default/config.toml:

It works when I have uBlock Origin and PrivacyBadger disabled.

If I go to the settings for uBlock Origin and PrivacyBadger and disable prefetching, the syntax highlighting works.

Seems like the issue is related to third-party software.
Can we close it?
