Oops, sorry my bad. Gnome is on 3.32 not 3.38.

$ gnome-shell --version
GNOME Shell 3.32.2

Hi there! Thanks for the report! Could you explain in more detail what you mean with "gnome keeps crashing randomly"? Does is happen when you open or close a window? Does it happen if all other extensions are disabled? Does it happen if Burn-My-Windows is disabled?

Regarding the missing options in the preferences: Could you let journalctl -f -o cat | grep -E 'burn-my-windows|' running in a terminal and then open the preferences dialog of Burn-My-Windows? Is any error logged?

Right after installing/enabling the extension. If I open the gnome overview/or if I open a window, Gnome crashes. Sometimes I am logged out, sometimes its a blank desktop with panel gone.

Yes, I've disabled all other extensions except for Burn-My-Windows. I see this in journalctl when gnome crashes.

System behaves normally after I delete the extension directory.

Cant get the output of journalctl with preferences dialog as I am unable to open tweaks and terminal at the same time without crashing gnome.

Well, that's weird. What exactly does gnome-shell --version return?
