Schema.org has no required properties nor values for classes. That's why you can not find these on its site.

If you want to know what a data consumer like Google requires you will have to read their documentation: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/search-gallery

Yes - nothing is mandatory from Schema.org's perspective

Think of us as being a bit like a dictionary - you wouldn't let your dictionary tell you what to say. Schema.org focuses on the meaning of terms. The documentation at the search engine sites and elsewhere will be clearer about the kinds of information they need in order to offer different kinds of service or features.
