Hi,
Sorry for the delay,

I'm working on moving all the core code of the actions into dedicated
functions (that do not need HttpRequest). That , as principle, is what u
propose so both the ideas can be implemented.

Function - view - action should be imho the final chain.

The Function execute then operation
The view collect data and manage workflow
The actiion wraps the view for the admin

Let me know your thoughts

Do you plan on making the view and function parts class-based for an clean way to customize the behavior at each level?
