Pinboard is an announcements channel, so people can send messages from there to their server. Cookie Dough doesn't hit publish when messages are sent there.

so the thread doesn't have to be started and the message responded to manually. Possibly even allow for cookie to repost the message in the correct channel "as" the original user with a webhook, and ping them so that people can see their profile.

Basically, when a user hits the "create a thread" button on a message in a media channel, discord sends a message like "[user] created a [thread]", technically, the user sent that message, and it doesn't have an embed or attatchment, so cookie sees that, deletes it, and pings that user with "you can't talk in media channels" copypasta.

I don't think ive seen this role at all; is this line dead weight?

Low-priority enhancement, as this only affects multi-guild systems, but the bot is not sharded, limiting its operational capacity.

Easiest fix is to replace object "Bot" with "AutoShardedBot".

In pinboard, implement a user list (from a file) that provides the ability to disable the final action (pin message) if the message originates from a user residing on the list.

Non-tested example implement: (in pinboard.py)

if message.author.id not in pbExcludedUsers:
    <proceed to pin message>

where pbExcludedUsers represents a list of user IDs "shadowbanned" from using pinboard
