Interesting question. We are already using a very permissive license with Apache 2.0, but yes, MIT is much more simple... On the other hand, I'm sure that especially the patent and trademark sections of the Apache license are big motivators for our lawyers to keep it...

But in the end I need some concrete indications: Which elements of Apache 2.0 would prevent people from using this work that MIT wouldn't?
