This has been implemented over a number of commits, and test coverage is there to validate it.
While working on this, I was forced to learn some humility. Bazel build implementations can be extremely complex if they want to be. If a build engineer creates a spaghetti build with Bazel, Bazel itself can handle it. But trying to represent that build in a clear and easy to understand view in an IDE may not be possible. Especially for an IDE that was designed 20 years ago with Maven as its design center.
BEF now does an admirable job when you diverge from Maven conventions. But there are limits to our ability to do that, and I won't lose sleep for that.
