Official Sony USB wireless dongle does not work about ds4windows HOT 3 CLOSED

The wireless dongle just came in the mail and I am testing it out now. My initial assumption is correct and the controller is exposed to Windows as if it were connected via a USB connection. The dongle exposes a virtual DirectInput controller to Windows when plugged in even when no controller is paired. I am not sure if I will use audio support but it is nice to have. One problem is that the poll rate interval of the dongle is 8 ms which would make it the slowest supported connection type. Even with the lower effective poll rate, a DS4 connected to the dongle is still perfectly usable.

Based on other issues, there might still be a need to treat a DS4 connected using the Sony USB wireless dongle as a special type of connection. The current method to determine connection type is not enough but inspecting the parent device might be helpful to find out if a DS4 is connected to the wireless dongle.

With the addition of disconnect routines being adapted for the Sony dongle, this issue is closed.
