I didn't run it locally, but I'm pretty sure this is the problem. This repo doesn't support next/future/image. I'd recommend upgrading to next v13 if possible.
As a side note consider planning a migration to storybook's framework api when it comes out march 14 with storybook v7. It is the replacement for this addon so I'm directing everyone to migrate.
Please reopen this issue if I was wrong.
