Probably need to disable unattended-update so the VM starts faster. Probably just a good idea to rebuild with newer quest tools installed anyways.

Hi - any chance there is a lab VM created with ARM linux?

In PuTTY >= v0.78 the "Private key file for authentication" has moved to a new sub-menu under Conection > SSH > Auth > Credentials (used to be just under Auth).
The ssh-setup doc needs to be updated to reflect this change.

Not sure if anyone's been bitten by this (or whether it's worth putting in student notes) but using my cellphone as a wifi hotspot I found I had to set natdnshostresolver1 to get dns resolution working properly.

Solution (on OSX) was to run:
VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --natdnshostresolver1 on
