You can find all your input devices in the folder /dev/input/by-id/

Just copy the device path/name and use it as an ID.

For example, my device ID that I used for this program is /dev/input/by-id/usb-COMPANY_USB_Device-event-kbd

Run the program in the console and if you see a message that the device does not support the transfer of preset keys or nothing will work at all, try to select another device. In my case, each input device has 2 different IDs for different functions, so I had to manually try each of them to determine the correct one. But there's probably an easier way to find the right ID.
